Carla Massolini is an internationally recognized Argentine-Italian freelance Film Director and Screenwriter based in Berlin, Germany.
She began her career eight years ago in the fashion and art scene in Argentina, where she was born and raised. This experience opened doors for her to work globally—in Paris, Milan, Mexico, and Germany—across a wide spectrum of international clients, ranging from boutique brands to global names in both photography and cinematography.
Driven by her passion for cinema and dialogue, she has focused exclusively on Film Direction over the past four years, working in both commercials and fiction. She is currently in pre-production for her second short film and writing her first feature.
Her recent short film, To The Body (2023), has been showcased and recognized at multiple festivals worldwide, earning awards like Best Female Director and Best Micro Short in Milan, Tokyo, Budapest, Lisbon, and Berlin.
Due to the strong performance of her latest short film in various festivals and its positive public reception, Carla has been invited to join the Jury for the 2025 edition of the Milan Short Film Festival.
Her absolute passion lies in bringing to life multidimensional, emotionally complex, and contradictory characters that mirror the push and pull of life itself.
